The prime minister will announce that new homes and buildings across England must install charging stations for electric vehicles starting next year.

According to government estimates, this move could see as many as 145,000 charging points across the country in a single year.

This law applies to new supermarkets, buildings and workplaces that have undergone major renovations.

As the UK plans to move to electric cars by 2030, new diesel and petrol cars will also be prohibited.

Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of Britain will speak at Monday’s Confederation of British Industry Conference to announce new legislation.

We must adapt our economy for the green industrial revolution.

Labour said that the announcement doesn’t address the “appalling” geographical gap in charging points.

The South East and London have more charging stations for public cars than any other part of England or Wales. This is despite the fact that there are no solutions.

Labour claimed that “no one can afford to buy electric vehicles” or make the necessary investment in order to create the gigafactories.

It was stated that the new legislation will make it “as easy as refuelling your petrol or diesel vehicle today”.
